Job summary

BD Diesel Performance in Abbotsford is seeking a detail-oriented Shipper to ensure accurate, efficient outbound shipments. The role covers order verification, packing, labeling, and documentation, with cross-training across shipping and receiving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position is onsite in Abbotsford, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with pay between $20 and $22 per hour. Prior warehouse experience and forklift competency are assets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in shipping or warehouse operations is an asset.
• Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks is an asset.
• Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computers, scanners, tablets, and warehouse systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Verify customer orders, purchase orders, and outbound materials to ensure shipment accuracy.
• Prepare, package, label, and stage outbound shipments, including small parcel and palletized freight.
• Perform final packaging processes including sealing, wrapping, and palletizing shipments.
• Generate and verify shipping documentation including Bills of Lading (BOLs), packing slips, and shipment confirmations.
• Route shipments through carrier systems, coordinate pickups, and manage shipment dispatch schedules.
• Accurately finalize shipments within the ERP system and maintain complete records.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and packaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain organized shipping areas and support loading operations as required.
• Communicate shipment updates with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams.
• Cross-train and provide operational support across both shipping and receiving functions as required.
• Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs

The Shipper plays a key role in ensuring the accurate, efficient, and timely preparation and dispatch of outbound shipments to customers and distribution partners. This role is responsible for verifying orders, preparing shipments, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate documentation and system records.

The successful candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment. This role will be cross-trained across both shipping and receiving functions to support operational flexibility and coverage.

This role is based in our Abbotsford location and this role is a fully onsite role.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday

7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay: $20-22/ Per Hour

Education & Experience

• Experience working with ERP or warehouse management systems is an asset
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency using computers, scanners, tablets, and warehouse systems
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic math, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
