As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will assist the store manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. As a team lead, you will deploy partners and delegate tasks to create the Starbucks Experience for our customers by providing legendary customer service with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. You will be responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. Summary Of Key Responsibilities
- Act with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks.
- Maintain a calm demeanor during high volume or unusual events to keep the store operating to standard and set a positive example for the shift team.
- Evaluate environment and customer cues to anticipate needs.
- Communicate information to the manager to respond effectively and create the Third Place environment during each shift.
- Assist with new partner training, reinforcing successful performance and providing respectful coaching.
- Provide feedback to the store manager on partner performance during shift.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by recognizing changes in partner morale and performance and communicating them to the store manager.
- Create a positive learning environment through clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching to ensure operational excellence.
- Deliver legendary customer service by acting with a customer-first attitude and connecting with customers.
- Discover and respond to customer needs.
- Develop positive relationships with the shift team by understanding individual motivations and concerns.
- Execute store operations during scheduled shifts.
- Organize opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including cash handling and safety/security, to ensure partner safety.
- Follow all cash management policies and ensure proper practices.
- Follow up with baristas during the shift to ensure excellent customer service.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Provide quality beverages, whole beans, and food products consistently, adhering to all standards.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
- Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments using organizational tools and collaborate with the store manager on recognition methods.
- Utilize operational tools to achieve excellence during the shift.
