Job summary

P&H Milling in Vanscoy, SK is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead pulse flour production. You will operate, monitor, and set up equipment and supervise a team of mill operators in the 24/7 production and shipping cycle.

The role requires strong leadership, prior food manufacturing experience, and the ability to work shifts, overtime, weekends and holidays; flour milling training is an asset.

Qualifications

• Completion of Secondary School Diploma.
• Minimum of 5 years working experience in a food production facility or agricultural processing facility.
• Experience with high pressure steam boiler operation.
• A Fireman’s Operator Ticket or higher or be willing to obtain.
• A Diploma, Certificate, or Advanced Certificate in Flour Milling or equivalent training is an asset but not required.
• Experience in pulse flour production is an asset
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience or leadership experience.
• Reliable and dependable with an ability to work shiftwork, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Physically fit with the ability to safely lift up to 25kg.
• Able to work in environments subject to dust allergens and higher temperatures as well as in all outside weather conditions.

Your Team

P&H Milling: P&H Milling is Canada’s largest Canadian-owned milling company, producing high-quality flour and cereal products for bakeries, food manufacturers, and consumers. From coast to coast, we transform Canadian wheat into trusted products that feed families at home and abroad.

We are seeking a Shift Supervisor to join our P&H Milling team. This role is responsible for pulse flour production within the facility, including operating, monitoring, and setting up equipment and machinery. You will lead a team of mill operators in the production and shipping of bulk flour from the facility that runs 24/7.

Day to Day

• Lead and supervise milling operations, ensuring optimal equipment performance, flour extraction, quality standards, and production efficiency.
• Execute production schedules, product changeovers, and flour production processes to meet customer and business requirements.
• Monitor equipment, perform troubleshooting and minor maintenance, and coordinate repair needs through work orders and action plans.
• Support and direct team members, ensuring responsibilities, sanitation activities, and operational tasks are completed effectively.
• Complete inspections, reports, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, BRCGS, food safety, quality, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Report food safety, quality, and security concerns and perform other related duties as required.

What You’ll Bring:
