Insomnia Cookies is seeking a Shift Leader to guide bakery operations, bake and prepare orders, and deliver an exceptional guest experience. You will coach the Cookie Crew, delegate tasks, and ensure smooth shift execution.

Ideal candidates bring 1+ year in customer-focused roles, strong communication, teamwork, and a proactive attitude in a fast-paced environment. Evening and weekend availability is expected, with emphasis on guest satisfaction and safety standards.

At Insomnia Cookies, our Shift Leaders are the leaders in action. As the person leading the shift, you'll work side-by-side with your Cookie Crew to deliver warm, delicious cookies and an exceptional guest experience. From baking and packing orders to coaching teammates and keeping the bakery running smoothly, you'll lead by example every shift.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ year of experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or another customer-focused environment


• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Must be 18 years of age or older


• Ability to obtain any required food safety certifications applicable to the location

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours per shift).


• Frequently reach, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and lift.


• Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 30 pounds regularly.


• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.


• Use hands and fingers to handle bakery equipment, food products, and a point-of-sale system.


• Work in environments with varying temperatures, including around ovens, freezers, and refrigeration units.


• Safely operate kitchen equipment in accordance with company procedures.


• Read order screens, recipes, and safety information.


• Communicate effectively with guests and team members in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This position works in a fast-paced bakery environment that includes frequent interaction with guests, exposure to heat from ovens, refrigerated storage areas, cleaning chemicals, and moderate noise levels. Evening, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts are a regular part of the business.

Schedule Expectations

Our bakeries are busiest during evenings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Team Members should have availability during these peak business hours. Scheduling needs vary by location.

$19 - $19 an hour
