Job summary

Dixon Heating & Sheet Metal Ltd. in Surrey, BC is seeking an experienced Commercial Sheet Metal Journeyperson to join its non-union team. You will fabricate and install commercial HVAC ductwork, read blueprints, and ensure high-quality workmanship on large-scale projects.

You will work safely, coordinate with project teams, and maintain a clean jobsite while following company policies. Red Seal certification and strong knowledge of duct systems are required; wage is based on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience fabricating and installing commercial HVAC ductwork.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Knowledge of local codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install commercial HVAC duct systems and sheet metal components
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
• Measure, cut, form, and assemble sheet metal using hand and power tools
• Install hangers, supports, and related hardware
• Inspect work to ensure compliance with drawings, building codes, and company standards
• Troubleshoot and modify existing systems as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe jobsite
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Coordinate with supervisors, other trades, and project teams
• Wage will be determined based upon the candidate’s experience
