Description
Reporting to the manager of Emergency, you will be responsible for providing acute, nonacute, and follow-up care to support adults and children who are survivors of sexual assault and/or domestic violence (intimate partner violence), and human trafficking. As an expert in SADV, you will be required to educate other members of the team on policies, protocols, and procedures required for acute and nonacute care, follow-up care, evidence collection, storage, counselling, and coordination of support services. As a part of the healthcare team, you will practice within the standard of the College of Nurses of Ontario and policies and procedures of Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
As the team lead, you will work collaboratively with the manager of the program under the direction of the Ontario Network of SADVTCs to collect and report statistics, monitor service trends, address gaps/needs within the program, and collaborate and support regional healthcare providers.
