  • Job Locations: The position requires travel to various locations in the Edmonton region (AB). The employer provides transportation when the job site is outside of the City of Edmonton.

Duties
  • Reporting to the Foreman, the Pipelayer will be responsible for preparing and installing underground sewer pipelines and water mains as required.
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials.
  • Aligning pipes during sewer pipeline construction.
  • Level earth to fine-grade specifications.
  • Ensure blueprint specifications are followed.
  • Use laser levels, grade rods, or transit levels to ensure correct configuration & alignment of pipes.
  • Ensure the pipe is compliant with specifications with bedding, grade, and cover compaction.
  • Ensure company policies are followed to mitigate any damage to both overhead/underground utilities, property, and equipment.
  • Inspect places where pipes are fitted together to ensure pipes are spaced out properly and according to specifications.
  • Ensure pipes are bedded and covered with appropriate dirt or other material.
  • Mentor and guide helpers and new employees.
  • Know, understand, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Know and follow the company’s rules, policies, and procedures.
