Course Number and Title: VIS312HS - Collage

Course Description: An investigation of historical and contemporary art incorporating collage as a central methodology. The evolution of collage as a means of expression is explored through studio-based projects and lectures.

Sessional Dates of Appointment: 1 January, 2026 to 30 April, 2026 (Winter semester)

Salary (per half-course, inclusive of vacation):

 $9,820.70 (Sessional Lecturer I)
 $10,510.04 (Sessional Lecturer I – Long Term)
 $10,510.04 (Sessional Lecturer II)
 $10,760.28 (Sessional Lecturer II – Long Term)
 $10,760.28 (Sessional Lecturer III)
 $11,030.36 (Sessional Lecturer III – Long Term)

Minimum Qualifications: MA or MFA (or equivalent graduate degree) required with previous teaching experience. Strong exhibition history and currently exhibiting artist with a collage-based practice. Applicants may be asked to supply references.

Preferred Qualifications: Internationally recognized practice.

Description of Duties: Preparation and delivery of course material; managing digital teaching materials, supervision of teaching assistants; preparation and delivery of assignments, tests, final examinations and deferred final examinations; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours. Some management of printmaking studio and supplies is required.
