A renowned educational institution in Mississauga is seeking a Sessional Lecturer for Winter 2026, responsible for course design, teaching, and grading. Candidates should possess superior teaching ability and relevant experience in their subjects. The minimum stipend is $9,820.50 for the session. Applications must be submitted by November 13, 2025.
These positions are posted in accordance with CUPE 3902, Unit 3 Collective Agreement. The Department of Management has Sessional Lecturer positions for Winter 2026 and invites applications from suitably qualified candidates. No late applications will be considered. Salary: Sessional Lecturer I, effective Sep. 1, 2025, the minimum stipend rate inclusive of vacation pay shall be $9,820.50 (0.5 FCE). If rates in the collective agreement vary, the rates in the collective agreement prevail.
Applicants can expect to hear back within 3 weeks of the closing date. Only offers of employment through the normal contracting process that originate from the administrative offices of the Department of Management are valid; other offers are void. Some vacancies are tentative etc.
Please note: Undergraduate or graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are covered by CUPE 3902 Unit 1 and should not apply for Unit 3 postings.
Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to Sessional Lecturer II or III per CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Article 14:12. Teaching excellence is a component of the University mission. Applicants shall be selected to further that goal.

Minimum Qualifications
Sessional Lecturers are expected to be of superior teaching ability, with suitable academic and/or professional qualifications, currency and mastery of the subject matter. Successful applicants will have clearly demonstrated teaching excellence in the subject matter through previous experience teaching the course in question, or very similar courses.
Preferred Qualifications
Successful applicants will typically have significant experience in applying the subject matter in a practical environment.
Relevant Criterion
The need to acquire experience is the more relevant criterion than previous experience for this posted position.
The duties of Sessional Lecturers shall include the normal duties associated with the design and teaching of university degree credit courses or sections of courses. These include the preparation and delivery of course content, lectures/seminars; creation of course ware; development/administration of assignments, tests and examinations; marking/grading of student work and submission of grades; maintaining student contact outside scheduled hours; and supervising any Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants assigned to the course.
