The following position for a Sessional Lecturer is available in the Department of English for the Winter 2026 academic session. Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12 of the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement. A stipend rate for a half course (Y, F or S), inclusive of vacation pay, will be in accordance with the current CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement. The rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Duties
All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours.
Graduate degree in English, Creative Writing related field, or relevant teaching experience. Strong academic record and professional promise. Strong publishing record is an asset. Teaching experience at the university level is an asset, especially previous experience in the teaching of writing about creative writing at the university level. Past teaching experience is the more relevant criterion than the need to acquire experience in respect of this posted position. Please include a proposed course syllabus with the application.
