Description: ANA420 is an upper level course designed to introduce the anatomy and histology of adult stem cell niches. An understanding of the relationship between adult stem cells and organ function will be explored. The course will incorporate basic histology to facilitate an understanding of stem cell biology.

Sessional Lecturers I - $9,457.90

Sessional Lecturers I (Long Term) - $9,939.79

Sessional Lecturers II - $10,121,77

Sessional Lecturers III - $10,362.76

Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in stem cell biology or related field
  • Knowledge of anatomy and histology
  • Teaching experience at the university level required
  • Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence and mastery of the subject area is preferred.
  • Demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence in online format is an asset.
  • Previous experience in teaching a similar course is highly preferred.

Duties:

Preparation and delivery of course material (lectures, labs and tutorials); preparation and delivery of tests, final examinations; supervision of teaching assistants; marking of student work, submission of grades, dealing with student enquiries, appeals and petitions and student contact hours.

For summer courses (May-August), hiring decisions are usually made in the preceding December-February period.
