Description
The Service Technician is responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and repair services for equipment and systems. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective problem solving and communication. The position covers the Atlantic Canada region, from Dartmouth to Moncton.
Responsibilities
As a member of the Service Technician team, your duties include:
- Analyzing circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, and replace electromechanical devices and systems.
- Dismantling, inspecting, and replacing electromechanical equipment and defective electrical and mechanical parts.
- Performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs of cleaning and sanitizing equipment.
- Installing and maintaining sanitizing equipment and plant facility equipment supplied by Sani-Marc.
- Conducting routine preventative maintenance according to established PM programs.
- Providing value-added after-sales service and problem solving.
- Repairing, maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, and implementing cleaning chemical systems in Food & Beverage plants.
- Traveling to customer locations.
- Supporting other departments through internal work.
- Diagnosing problems, determining corrective actions, and undertaking repairs.
- Managing service calls and assessing customer requirements.
To perform effectively, you need to:
Requirements:
- Proficiency in electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
- Experience in maintenance and/or maintaining food service equipment (preferred).
- Experience in mobile onsite service (preferred).
- Ability to work in a team, demonstrate initiative, and be solutions-oriented.
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.
- Highly organized with thorough understanding of processes.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- All applicants must complete a mechanical/electrical aptitude test during the initial interview.
