Job summary

Premier Equipment, the largest John Deere dealership in Ontario, is seeking a Small Engine Service Technician for our Turf department. You’ll diagnose and repair turf and small engine equipment, delivering expert service to keep customers’ operations running.

Ideal candidates have experience as a licensed Agricultural Equipment Technician, with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Rotating weekends apply; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a licensed Agricultural Equipment Technician (or auto technician).
• Ability to perform repairs using required tools following Service Advisor procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to operate Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Rotating weekends will be required.

• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.

• Accounts for all time and for all material used in performing assigned.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Small Engine Service Technician in our Turf department, you’ll diagnose and repair turf and various small engine equipment. You’ll be the go-to expert our customers rely on to keep their operations running, handling everything from routine maintenance to advanced diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required;
• Valid driver’s license is required and clean driving record.
• Rotating weekends will be required.

Compensation

Placement within the wage range is based on skills, experience and qualifications.

Applicants with more or less experience and qualifications may be placed outside the salary range.

Sales positions will have a commission component as well.

Salary Range

CAD $25.00 - CAD $35.00 /Hr.
