Qualifications

Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to join our Vehicle Fire Suppression Team in Montreal, Quebec. This role can be based either in Montreal or Ottawa and will support both regions.

Overview

Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician to join our Vehicle Fire Suppression Team in Montreal, Quebec. This role can be based either in Montreal or Ottawa and will support both regions.

Responsibilities
  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair fire suppression systems (vehicle, industrial, and commercial)
  • Perform testing, verification, and certification to ensure systems meet all codes, standards, and customer requirements
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system issues with suppression equipment
  • Accurately document inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities in compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Provide on-site support and customer service, answering client questions and explaining system operation and safety requirements
  • Ensure all work is performed safely, adhering to company safety protocols and industry regulations
  • Travel to customer sites, including out-of-town assignments and overnight stays when required
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to support project and service needs
Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and French (required)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, a passion for health and safety, and excellent communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Willingness to work out of town for extended periods (up to 12-hour shifts, including overnight stays)
  • Hands-on experience in a mechanical shop or with vehicles/motorized equipment (asset)
  • Prior customer service experience to work effectively with internal and external clients
  • Comfort with technology, computers, and mobile devices
  • Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test and background check
