Job summary

A leading laundry equipment service provider in Calgary is seeking a full-time technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair laundry equipment. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Natural Gas License, have a driver's license, and possess mechanical skills. Responsibilities include maintaining professional client relationships and managing inventory. An ability to work independently and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role, which also requires flexibility in working hours.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of small chassis Washer and Dryer appliance repair skills is an asset.
  • Multi-load Wash and Dryer appliance repair skills is an asset.
  • Ability to diagnose plumbing, ventilation, electrical requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, diagnose, repair and test laundry equipment.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients.
  • Accountable for truck inventory to complete work timely.

What you’ll do:
  • Maintain, diagnose, repair and test laundry equipment and other products supplied by the company in our laundry rooms or specific areas of a building to the company’s level of quality and standards.
  • Maintain professional/friendly relationships with customers/clients
  • Maintain and be accountable for truck inventory (parts and specialty tools provided by the company) to be able to complete work in a timely manner
  • Maintain company vehicle in safe working condition
  • Assist installers when required
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools
  • Backup a service territory/Installer
  • Assist with on‑site retrofit, equipment overhauls etc.
  • Complete vend adjustment
  • Site Inspection evaluations
What we are looking for:
  • Holds Journeymancertification, a valid Natural Gas License or Certificate of Qualification, or be enrolled in a certified course to obtain a valid Natural Gas Certificate of Qualification as approved by the province.
  • Valid Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract
  • Basic mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Basic electronic aptitude
  • Minimum 1 year of small chassis Washer and Dryer appliance repair skills is an asset
  • Multi‑load Wash and Dryer appliance repair skills is an asset
  • Self‑Starter with proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate strong technical, electrical, and mechanical ability.
  • Ability to diagnose, trouble‑shoot and assess plumbing, ventilation, electrical, make‑up air requirements etc.
  • Great organizational skills, related to maintain assets, travel and prioritizing workload to gain the best impact on productivity.
  • Manage and maintain Coinamatic assets and expenses i.e.: vehicle, phone/communication device (tablet), fax machine, parts, uniform etc.
  • Team player who can work with all levels of the organization i.e. sales, administration
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Requires own basic tools
  • Able to work flexible hours including weekends
