Job summary

TEN Canada Ltd. is seeking a Service Supervisor for its Cambridge branch to oversee service processes from customer intake to administrative follow‑through. You will lead technicians, manage work orders, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all internal and sublet work orders, billing, reversals, credits, rebills, accounts payable tasks, and generate summary reports.
  • Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email regarding invoicing, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with Service Department and vendors to ensure timely processing of trailer repairs.
  • Review and audit mobile work orders, scan, upload, and file inspection sheets.
  • Facilitate onboarding for new Service employees and supervise technicians.
  • Oversee sublet vendor activities and ensure timely processing of Bean invoices.
  • Arrange equipment movement and ensure sublet work is completed accurately.

Transportation Equipment Network (TEN) is a North American leader in transportation equipment and solutions. We are a full‑service provider with an industry‑leading fleet of over 80,000 trailers and a support network of 240 service bays, 118 mobile service trucks, and 430+ skilled mechanics.

As a Service Supervisor at our Cambridge Branch, you ensure that all service processes from customer intake to administrative follow‑through are executed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards.

Specific Responsibilities Include
  • Manage all internal and sublet work orders, billing, reversals, credits, rebills, accounts payable tasks, and generate required summary reports.
  • Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email regarding invoicing, repairs, and maintenance.
  • Distribute required documentation such as MVI paperwork and coordinate with the Service Department and vendors to ensure timely processing of trailer repairs.
  • Review and audit mobile work orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Scan, upload, and file all required inspection sheets.
  • Upload photos and PM documentation to work orders and maintain updated program information including MVI expiration dates.
  • Facilitate onboarding for new Service employees, including technicians.
  • Manage boot, tool, and prescription safety glasses allowances, and assist cross‑departmental teams with training and administrative tasks as needed.
  • Oversee sublet vendor activities, ensuring timely processing of Bean invoices and coordinating internal and external repair work.
  • Arrange equipment movement as required and ensure all sublet work is completed accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Mechanical expertise and advanced knowledge of trailer systems
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and support trailer technicians
  • Strong understanding of tools and specialized equipment used in trailer maintenance
  • Strong carpentry, welding, and/or fabrication skills
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations
  • Proficiency with computer systems
  • Safety awareness
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Technical certifications or vocational training
  • 5+ years of trailer maintenance and repair experience and/or training
  • 1–2 years of supervision or team leadership experience, ideally in transportation, trailer or fleet repair environment
  • Experience in the trailer or transportation industry is preferred
