We seek a full-time plumber with strong mechanical aptitude to diagnose, repair, and maintain plumbing and heating systems, interact with clients on-site, and ensure quality workmanship. A valid Journeyman Plumber license is required; gasfitter and backflow certifications are preferred assets.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Plumber certification is required.
• Gasfitter certification (B-Gas Ticket) is a strong asset.
• Backflow certification is a strong asset.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to track truck stock and restock as needed.
• Experience with residential and/or commercial plumbing service and renovations.
• Knowledge of plumbing and gas codes and approved installation practices.
• Able to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve plumbing and heating issues on-site.

Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site position from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and based in the Greater Vancouver area. No mandatory on call rotations or overnights. This position involves diagnosing and resolving various plumbing and heating issues, performing repairs and replacements on fixtures, heating-related components, and carrying out routine maintenance. Daily responsibilities include interacting with clients on-site, explaining recommended solutions and executing the required tasks. Maintaining accurate time sheets and keeping detailed records of all job tasks. The role also requires collaborating with others and being able to work as a team, keeping tools and equipment in good/clean working order, and representing the company in the outmost professional manner.

Qualifications:

• Gasfitter certification (B-Gas Ticket) is considered a strong asset.

• Positive mindset and adaptability are key in this role.

• Proven experience in residential and/or commercial plumbing service and renovations.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing and gas codes, regulations, and approved installation practices.
• Experience with hydronic heating systems and boilers are a strong asset.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a professional team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to safely perform physical tasks, including lifting 50lbs+, carrying, and working in a variety of environments, both indoors and outdoors.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is an asset.
• A criminal background check will be required for this role.
• Must be legally able to work in BC.
