Job summary

Manufacturing Job Site in Antigonish, NS is seeking an exceptional Service Manager to join our team and lead a department focused on delivering outstanding service, developing people, and driving results.

The Service Manager will oversee the service team in a busy branch, maintain customer satisfaction, manage schedules and staffing, and work with sales to schedule repairs and provide status updates. 3+ years managerial experience required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a managerial role (Shop Foreman, Lead Hand, Supervisor, etc.).
• Strong communication with team members and customers to achieve results.
• Above-average computer skills including Microsoft Office and related software.
• Experience in the agricultural, heavy equipment, or related industry is an asset.

We're looking for an exceptional Service Manager to join our Antigonish, NS team and lead a department that's committed to delivering outstanding service, developing people, and driving results.

Purpose

The Service Manager will direct and organize the service team to maximize performance and maintain customer satisfaction in a busy branch environment.

Responsibilities

As a leader of service operations, the Service Manager will:

• Maintain a safe environment and ensures customer satisfaction
• Successfully communicate job expectations, monitor job results and coach employees to achieve optimal results
• Ensure all manufacturer warranty procedures are followed by service department staff
• Utilize business systems to create and monitor work/repair orders
• Main point of contact for both customers and sales department when scheduling repairs, creating quotes and providing status updates
• Create schedules and staffing requirements, and assign jobs based on priority and technical skill set
• Monitor department efficiencies, operational budget, and expenses
• Actively participates in recruiting, staffing and development of training plans for all service department staff

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a managerial role (Shop Foreman, Lead Hand, Supervisor, etc.).
• Above average computer skills (Microsoft Office etc.)
• A proven ability to effectively communicate with team members to achieve desired results.
• A basic understanding of service department financials, and the capability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
• Experience in the agricultural, heavy equipment, or related industry considered an asset.
