Service Company Controller

Title: Service Company Controller

Compensation: $105K–$110K base + 10% bonus, 4 weeks vacation, comprehensive benefits including RRSP matching (2% employee / 8% employer)

Role Overview

The Service Company Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial accounting, reporting, and compliance activities for the Canadian service entity. This includes monitoring financial performance, ensuring regulatory and internal policy compliance, managing invoicing and audit activities, and supporting tax and budgeting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee full‑cycle financial accounting and reporting activities for the Canadian service entity
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable Canadian financial and tax regulations
  • Prepare, review, and process service agreement invoicing
  • Lead the annual audit process and coordinate with external auditors
  • Monitor financial results against forecasts and budgets
  • Prepare and review income tax and VAT submissions, including transfer pricing analysis
  • Participate in preparation of the annual budget
  • Maintain clear documentation of accounting processes and controls
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of IFRS, Canadian corporate tax, and VAT; familiarity with Québec international financial tax credit considered an asset
  • Highly organized, detail‑focused, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced proficiency with accounting systems and computer tools
  • Bilingual: English and French (required to support clients and internal stakeholders)
