Jim Pattison Subaru Victoria is hiring a Car Wash Attendant to help prepare customer vehicles for departure. You will be responsible for cleaning and presenting vehicles, moving them safely around the lot, and keeping work areas organized.

Automotive experience is helpful but not required, and the role is well-suited to an active, hands-on day. You should be dependable with a valid BC driver’s licence and a satisfactory ICBC Abstract.

Qualifications

• A valid BC Driver’s Licence and a satisfactory ICBC Driver’s Abstract.
• Ability to safely drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Previous experience around vehicles or in an automotive environment is an asset.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude and good situational awareness.

Responsibilities

• Clean customer vehicles inside and out using dealership equipment and cleaning products.
• Move and position vehicles throughout the dealership and lot.
• Check vehicles and surrounding areas for items needing attention by a team member.

Starting Wage: $18.50/hour

Keep Every Vehicle Ready for the Road

The Service Team at Jim Pattison Subaru Victoria is seeking a dependable Car Wash Attendant to help prepare customer vehicles before they leave our dealership.

Your work will directly contribute to the customer experience. You’ll be responsible for cleaning and presenting vehicles, moving vehicles safely around the property, keeping your work areas organized, and making sure anything requiring attention is brought to the appropriate team member.

This position involves plenty of movement and hands-on work, making it well suited to someone who likes an active workday rather than sitting behind a desk. Automotive experience is helpful but not required.

Your Responsibilities

You’ll spend your day helping the Service Department maintain a high standard of vehicle presentation. Key responsibilities include:

• Cleaning customer vehicles inside and out using dealership equipment and cleaning products

• Moving and positioning vehicles throughout the dealership and lot

• Checking vehicles and surrounding areas for anything that should be brought to a team member’s attention

• Using vehicle-cleaning equipment, tools, and supplies safely and appropriately

• Maintaining an orderly and clean work area

• Handling customer and company information with appropriate confidentiality

• Working cooperatively with Service Department team members

• Taking on additional tasks as required to support dealership operations

The Person We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in doing a job properly and can be counted on to get the work done consistently.

You should have:

• A valid BC Driver’s Licence and a satisfactory ICBC Driver’s Abstract

• The ability to safely drive both automatic and manual-transmission vehicles is preferred

• Previous experience working around vehicles or in an automotive environment is an asset

• A dependable approach to attendance and punctuality

• A positive, team-oriented attitude

• Good awareness of your surroundings when moving vehicles and working around the dealership

• The ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks during busy periods

• A willingness to learn dealership processes and equipment

What the Work Looks Like

This is an active position. The successful candidate should be comfortable:

• Spending extended periods walking or standing

• Frequently getting in and out of vehicles

• Driving and repositioning vehicles throughout the dealership property

• Bending, crouching, reaching, and performing repetitive movements while cleaning vehicles

• Working outside for portions of the day

• Working in changing weather conditions, including rain, wind, snow, cold, heat, and direct sunlight

• Handling cleaning products and vehicle-washing equipment in accordance with workplace safety practices

Weather conditions will be monitored and appropriate safety measures will be followed when required.
