• Execute routine and terminal cleaning of isolated areas.
• Conduct terminal cleaning of wards following outbreaks or increased evidence of infection.
• Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required.

About the Support Services Department

The Support Services department at Mount Sinai Hospital is vital to ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient environment for patients and staff. Comprising over 400 dedicated professionals, including housekeepers and porters, the team excels in upholding high standards of cleanliness, managing waste and recycling, and handling mail and linen distribution. In this role you will:

• Perform a variety of housekeeping activities to ensure a clean and safe patient care environment, including patient room cleaning, changing linen, disposing of waste, disinfection of equipment, touchpoints and surfaces within the patient spaces

Job Requirements

Mandatory

• Successful completion of a high school diploma
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position in order to perform the essential duties of the job which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, and lifting of patients/equipment for extended periods of time

Preferred

• 1 year of experience in housekeeping
