Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is hiring a part-time Server to work in our dining room at Glenora Park in Edmonton. You will support set-up, serve residents and guests, and help with dining room cleanup and tray service in a caring environment for seniors.

Preference is given to those with prior food service experience in senior living. Must be physically able to lift heavy items and stand for long shifts; bilingual ability is a plus. VPS screening is required or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to individuals with experience in food service and seniors care.
• Must be physically able to lift and transfer heavy items and stand for long periods.
• Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
• Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening within 6 months or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• To serve meals to residents and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• To set and clear dining tables and deliver tray service as required.
• To assist with cleaning of dishware and cutlery at the conclusion of each dining service.
• To maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas as required.
• To assist with catering and participate in special occasions and theme events.
• To assist in orientation and training of new culinary employees.
• To follow health and safety regulations and department procedures.
