Job summary

Aspira Yorkton Crossing Retirement Living is seeking a Server to support residents' dining by assisting with meal preparation and service, ensuring a safe, clean, and pleasant dining experience each day.

You will join a team focused on hospitality, resident well-being, and a welcoming culture while following food-safety standards. This permanent part-time role offers on-site work and a competitive wage with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have Serve It Right Certificate, or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Must have Food Safe Certificate, or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year experience in dining room service.
• Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
• Experience working with seniors and knowledge of the aging process an asset.
• Proven customer service skills to work with residents of various cultural backgrounds.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills required.
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
• You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check.

What You’ll Be Doing

What makes you a great fit?

• Responsible for all aspects of hospitality style dining service utilizing the Ready, Set, Serve Program as it applies to the serving areas, setting, serving and cleaning tables;
• Assists with the preparation and presentation of food under the direction of the Chef;
• Practices and maintains established standards for cleanliness and sanitation throughout all aspects of food preparation and service as required by the health department;
• Promotes and tracks a la carte and wine service sales in accordance with prescribed procedures;
• Complies with all provincial regulations, established food and beverage department policies and procedures and ORCA standards to ensure the department is tour ready;
• Participates in drills to prepare for emergencies and attends all education sessions in relation to emergency preparedness.
• Work in accordance with the organization’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures and in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
