Blacksmith Agency seeks an SEO and AI Search Manager to own search for a book of B2B and growing-brand clients. You’ll shape the technical roadmap, set content priorities, and drive the ranking story when clients ask what moved.

You are the strategic voice at the table and make the calls. As an AI-first digital agency, you’ll collaborate with writers and AI on drafts, report in GA4 and Search Console, and lead multi-location SEO where needed.

• Agency experience managing multiple clients
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls

Responsibilities

• Own technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Develop keyword strategy and on-page optimization with writers and AI.
• Improve AI search visibility with Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity; manage local and multi-location SEO.
• Provide reporting in GA4 and Search Console; roadmap planning for each client.

What You Will Own

• Technical SEO: crawl, indexation, site speed, schema and site architecture.
• Keyword strategy, on-page optimization and content priorities, with writers and AI producing the drafts.
• Getting clients found in AI search: Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, alongside classic organic results.
• Links, local search and multi-location SEO where the client needs it.
• Reporting in GA4 and Search Console, and the quarterly roadmap for each client.

What You Bring

• 3+ years hands-on in SEO: you have run the audits and made the fixes yourself.
• Fluency with Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog and Ahrefs or Semrush.
• Agency experience across several clients at once.
• Clear spoken English with US clients on live calls.
