Job summary

A leading defense contractor is seeking a Weapons Technician Instructor to provide practical and theoretical instruction on small arms and armament repairs at CFB Borden. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with weapons and at least 2 years of experience teaching adults. The role requires on-site work and the ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Secret level.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with weapons/arms.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching adults in the last ten (10) years.

Responsibilities

• Instruct practical and theoretical knowledge of small arms and armament repair.
• Provide instruction for up to 30 students per class.
• Monitor and correct unsafe workshop behavior.
• Assist the Course Director in counseling students on their performance.
