Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a Technology Leader for Wealth Management in a hybrid Canada-based role. You will drive architecture, platform modernization, and data-enabled decision support across enterprise systems, with emphasis on security, resiliency, and scalable APIs.

You will mentor development teams, align technology with business priorities, and manage vendor relationships while delivering end-to-end solutions from design to delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering (Computer Science).
• 5+ years experience in Technology Leadership roles with Wealth Management focus.
• 10+ overall experience from developer to leadership.
• Experience with new product implementations (Trading, security lending, incentive management) from design to delivery.
• Experience in AWS cloud stack, development, integration, microservices, API, AI integrations.
• Experience integrating vendor solutions with enterprise applications.
• A willingness to act as Individual Contributor and people manager when needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive the overall software development lifecycle across functional teams.
• Translate user requirements into technical specifications and design.
• Provide technical direction, coaching, and governance to teams and partners.
• Lead architecture, development, modernization, and lifecycle of enterprise platforms.
• Oversee scalable, secure, high-availability solutions and API-based integrations.
• Lead data-driven initiatives, analytics, and executive reporting.
• Ensure compliance with wealth management regulations and security standards.
• Collaborate with operations, risk, product, finance, and technology partners.
