Job summary

Canaccord Genuity in Vancouver seeks a senior business development professional to drive client acquisition and prospecting for a high-performing wealth team. You will research prospects, qualify opportunities, and coordinate investor updates while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

You’ll leverage AI tools to support research, prepare presentations, and manage a robust CRM pipeline, with a focus on high-net-worth clients and strategic relationships.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant financial services or business development experience.
• Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience is required.
• Current CIRO registration appropriate for the role, or completion of the CSC and CPH with valid standing.
• CFA, CIM, CFP, CPA, or comparable designation is an asset, not required.
• Demonstrated experience qualifying prospects, conducting discovery conversations, managing a pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Business Development and Client Prospecting: drive business development and prospecting initiatives.
• Build and manage a qualified prospect pipeline with clear priorities, next steps, and follow-up timelines.
• Conduct initial discovery conversations with partners to assess prospects’ needs and fit.
• Prepare professional communications, proposals, and presentations for prospects and clients.
• Coordinate prospect meetings, investor updates, and follow-up activities.
• Support client onboarding from qualification through account opening and transition to relationship management.
• Track activities and provide updates to senior team members.
