Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to lead field inspection on watermain projects in the Greater Toronto Region, including CPP installation and tunneling aspects.

You will review contract documents, coordinate with contractors, and prepare daily reports, QA/QC plans, and project turnover documentation while upholding safety standards and quality requirements across public works programs.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in construction or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience with large diameter watermain projects including tunneling.
• Minimum of 5 years supporting municipal linear projects.
• P.Eng. or CET or NASSCO certification would be considered an asset.
• ACAD skill would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide single-point field inspection of the construction contractor’s work representing the Construction Manager in the field.
• Daily monitor, inspect and document the contractor’s work and prepare a comprehensive Daily Report with observations, quantities, labor and equipment used, and photos.
• Communicate with contractors regarding conformance to standards, plans, specifications, and codes.
• Ensure RFIs are generated promptly and review submittals and RFI responses for quality control.
