Accountabilities
- Develop and execute the overall commercial strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth, strengthen market positioning, and expand into new opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial organization with a strong culture of accountability, execution, collaboration, and customer focus.
- Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, government agencies, industry associations, and strategic partners.
- Advise executive leadership on market dynamics, competitive positioning, emerging opportunities, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Champion a customer-centric culture focused on long-term relationships, customer satisfaction, retention, and measurable outcomes.
- Drive improvements across sales processes, commercial performance, and operational efficiency.
- Use data, analytics, and performance metrics to evaluate results, identify opportunities, and guide strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with product, marketing, customer success, and other functions to align commercial priorities with broader business objectives.
- Represent the organization in executive meetings, customer engagements, strategic sales opportunities, and other high-impact business activities.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required, with travel expected to be up to approximately 25% per year.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in an executive leadership position, ideally within a software or technology solutions environment.
- Demonstrated success driving significant revenue growth and building, leading, and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong expertise in commercial strategy, sales process optimization, business development, and performance management.
- Excellent understanding of business operations, customer engagement, and strategies for improving organizational efficiency.
- Exceptional executive leadership, communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills.
- A data-driven and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to translate business intelligence into actionable decisions.
- Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships, including senior customers, strategic partners, government organizations, or industry bodies.
- Experience in Healthcare IT or public-sector software—including solutions serving utilities, local governments, school districts, or public safety organizations is highly valued.
- Familiarity with sales automation and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Strong understanding of analytics platforms, sales performance indicators, and commercial reporting.
- Proven ability to work effectively across product, marketing, customer success, and other cross-functional teams.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% annually, with a valid passport and the ability to obtain required visas when necessary.
- Availability to work within the Eastern Time Zone.
