Key responsibilities include US federal and state tax return preparation/review, cross-border tax analysis, and coordinating engagement planning with junior and senior staff, including budgeting

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of US tax experience with strong knowledge of US federal corporate income tax.
• CPA designation required.
• Leadership and mentoring skills for a high-performing team.
• Willingness to commit to 3 days per week.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate understanding of US tax concepts related to corporate and partnership income tax compliance.
• Prepare and review US corporate tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120F, 1120-S, 1065, 5471, 5472, FBAR) and related schedules.
• Conduct federal and state tax research and draft technical memos on cross-border issues.
• Apply US-Canada Tax Treaty to determine filing positions for cross-border clients.
• Interact with federal/state tax authorities to resolve audits and notices.
• Engage planning with junior/senior staff and manage budgets, WIP and timely billing.
• Maintain quality control and address client business reporting and entries.
• Mentor and coach team members with clear feedback and performance reviews.
