Senior Transportation Engineer is responsible for leading the planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects. This position operates within a multidisciplinary engineering environment and provides technical leadership across roadway engineering, traffic studies, transportation planning, field investigations, and client engagement activities.
The role supports projects through multiple delivery phases, including preliminary design, detailed engineering, technical review, construction support, and stakeholder coordination. Responsibilities include regulatory compliance, technical reporting, cost estimating, design review, and coordination with municipal and provincial transportation authorities.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of consulting experience delivering transportation projects for Alberta Transportation and municipal clients, strong knowledge of applicable designs standard and construction specifications, and demonstrated capability leading project teams while mentoring junior engineering professionals.
