Senior Technology Project Manager (2 positions)

Job Summary

The Senior Technology Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex technology programs and projects that support organizational priorities. This role requires strong project leadership, strategic planning, and hands‑on execution to ensure initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, stakeholders, and senior management to align technology solutions with business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project plans, monitor progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with organizational standards and TPMO processes. Mentor and guide project team members, fostering collaboration and adherence to best practices.
How you will make a difference
  • Project/program oversight and governance – Oversee the performance of IT program and project management activities, including project design, scheduling, budgeting, and execution. Develop and implement strategies, goals, and objectives to ensure project prioritization aligns with business needs. Create detailed project plans with timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Act as the primary point of escalation, ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, and resolved effectively.
  • Business analysis – Lead and facilitate business analysis by collaborating with stakeholders to assess operations, technology needs, and goals. Conduct research and analyses, recommend solutions, and define technology strategies. Translate business requirements into documentation, functional designs, and implement roadmaps to support project execution.
  • Project delivery and resource management – Lead the execution of IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, resource availability, and project timelines. Manage and maintain resource planning and coordinate recruitment or assignment of resources to support the IT Operating Plan.
  • Project leadership and project team development – Lead, coach, and develop project team members to enhance project management capabilities. Provide mentorship and guidance to IT staff and stakeholders on project management methodologies and best practices. Collaborate with project managers, team leads, and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and execution.
  • Reporting and stakeholder communication – Prepare and present program reports and dashboards to stakeholders and senior leadership. Provide insights into project status, resource utilization, risks, and performance against established targets.
  • Quality assurance and continuous improvement – Monitor project progress and adjust as necessary to ensure successful delivery. Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure all deliverables meet the required standards and specifications. Conduct regular reviews and audits to drive ongoing improvements.
Requirements That Are Important to Us
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business Commerce, Health Information Management, Health Informatics, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Six to nine years of IT Program/Project Management experience, including leading large‑scale digital transformation initiatives and working with PMO processes and standard PMI project management methodologies. Project Management Professional (PMP) required.
  • Two to three years of experience with project controls on major Technology projects, including scheduling, financial reporting and controls, budgeting, forecasting, and estimating.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a project leadership role, demonstrating responsibility for guiding cross‑functional teams, driving decision‑making, communicating a clear vision, managing change, and ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Experience in CRM & Salesforce, Project Management tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, JIRA.
  • Strong understanding of systems development lifecycle (SDLC), change management, and technology adoption practices.
  • Experience delivering IT system development and integration projects, including platforms such as Microsoft (e.g., CRM, Smartsheet).
  • Familiarity with PMO frameworks and standard project management methodologies (e.g., PMI).
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across technical teams and diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience with business relationship management and vendor management.
  • Proficient in business analysis, including documentation and requirements gathering techniques.
Preferred Certifications and Skills
  • Program Management Professional (PgMP), PRINCE2.
  • Agile Certification.
  • LEAN/Lead Kaizen/Design Thinking/Six Sigma.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).

Work Location

The OMA has moved to a permanent hybrid work environment. As such, the individual in this position will be required to work a minimum number of days in our Toronto office.
