The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in a similar role and is mechanically inclined with strong electrical skills. Qualifications

Overview

At Paramount Power, we design, source, assemble and sell generators for the commercial/industrial market in Canada. We obtain experience designing and building generators and our sister company Ronnie’s has been servicing generators in the field for over 40 years. Our success comes from our diverse and talented team of over 60 people. Responsibilities

The Senior Technician will primarily perform diagnosis, repairs, and preventative maintenance work on generators. Additionally, the Senior Technician mentors and trains other Technicians. This role is also accountable for responding to service calls for complex repairs and being part of the on‑call schedule.

  • Inspect generators and perform maintenance requirements outlined in CSA C282 Standard
  • Perform diagnosis and repairs of generator and transfer switch equipment
  • Review diagnostic recommendations and timelines with Technical Advisor
  • Respond to emergency service calls for complex repairs
  • Mentor and train other technicians, assisting with diagnostic assessments, if needed
  • Accurately complete service work order forms and obtain signatures from clients
  • Keep customers abreast of generator condition
  • Submit service work information to Service Coordinator
  • Maintain clean work environment, both in‑house and on client sites
  • Clean‑up & set up of current day’s work
  • Assist with ongoing shop work
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications &
  • College Diploma or Trades School is an asset
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Mechanically inclined with strong electrical/mechanical skills
