Job summary

Delta Intelligent Building Technologies (Delta IBT) in Canada seeks a Legal Counsel to support three Canadian entities with emphasis on commercial contracting, privacy and compliance. You will draft and negotiate software licenses, master purchase, and service agreements while advising on IP, data protection and regulatory matters.

You will work with sales, product and finance, coordinate with Delta's global legal team, and help manage corporate records and governance for Canadian entities.

Qualifications

• JD/LLB or equivalent law degree and bar in good standing in Ontario or British Columbia.
• At least 7 years of relevant commercial or technology law experience, in-house or at a law firm.
• Experience supporting technology-related contracts, privacy, and cybersecurity compliance.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate customer, supplier and channel agreements including SaaS and licenses.
• Support bids, RFPs and government contract terms for Canadian entities.
• Maintain templates, playbooks and training for business teams, and manage outside counsel.
