As a hybrid position, you will oversee complex tax compliance, develop planning strategies, mentor staff, and collaborate with legal counsel. The work requires strong communication, research ability, and sound judgment to translate tax rules into practical

Qualifications

• 4+ years of public accounting experience with tax expertise.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian corporate and personal income tax.
• Experience reviewing corporate tax returns and complex files.
• Experience managing client relationships with owner-managed businesses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, research and analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise owner-managed businesses, corporations, shareholders and individuals on Canadian income tax matters.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies integrating corporate and personal tax considerations.
• Advise on corporate reorganizations and holding company transactions.
• Support succession, estate and intergenerational planning for business owners.
• Research complex tax matters and prepare technical memoranda and recommendations.
• Collaborate with clients' legal counsel and other advisors for multidisciplinary implementations.
• Review personal, trust and other tax filings for clients.
• Ensure tax work complies with applicable legislation and firm standards.
• Act as senior point of contact for an assigned portfolio of clients.
• Monitor Canadian tax developments and translate changes into actionable guidance.
