A leading recruiting firm in Canada is seeking a Senior Tax and Data Analyst to manage global corporate tax and facilitate automation and analytics. This role requires 3+ years of corporate tax experience and a CPA designation. The ideal candidate will have skills in data manipulation and consolidated provisions. OurclientisaCustoms Brokerage.They are looking foraSenior Tax and Data Analystwho willberesponsible forassistingthe Tax Director in managing the company's global corporate tax, transfer pricing, and transaction tax matters. This includes tax planning, compliance, reporting, analysis, strategy, and governance while liaising with cross-functional partners across Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, AP, Legal, and business units.This role provides exposure to senior leadership, international scope, and complex multi-entity structures, offering a strong balance between technical tax provision work and data analytics. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of international tax provisions, cross-border reconciliations, and automation opportunities to improve manual processes.

Tax accounting including tax provision computations and reportingrequirements.
Compute andanalysemonthly,quarterlyand year-end income tax provision, reporting and tax disclosures
Maintain andanalysedeferred tax inventories and continuity schedules
Tax compliance and reporting projects including gathering data for tax return and information return preparation by external advisors, and preparation of tax returnswhereprepared in-house
Prepare annual tax admin forms
Track,analyseand reconcile tax assessments and notices
Calculate taxinstalmentsandmaintaincash tax reporting files
Analyse,researchand document income tax positions and prepare related workingpapers.
Liaise with tax authorities and external advisors on various compliancematters.
Special projects and research as assigned.
Prepare tax journal entries,analyseand reconcile all tax GL accounts (income tax, transaction tax and withholding taxes).
Provide support for outsourced global transaction tax compliance
Data gathering and analytics for reporting on intercompany transactions (transfer pricing compliance).
Comply withICFR/SOX protocol and attestation requirements.
Provide support for forecasting and planning initiatives.
3+ years corporate tax experience, including cross-border transactions
Proven experience withconsolidatedprovisions (multi-entity, not single entity)
Proficiencywith GL queries, HFM reports, and data manipulation in Excel
CPA Designation
In-depth completed or in progress
$100,000 - $115,000/year
