Job description

This is a 3 month contract role and location must be Quebec, Canada.

This role requires fluency in both English and Canadian French (spoken and written) to support customers and partners across bilingual regions.

As a member of the Staples Talent Acquisition team, you will be responsible for working closely with Senior Recruiters, management, and the business to source talent for corporate, technical, and sales positions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies in key business areas to fill open requisitions and build talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
  • Achieve key performance indicators to demonstrate sourcing effectiveness and impact.
  • Partner with team members on talent sourcing practices, methods, and tools.
  • Work closely with Senior Recruiters and Management to have effective intake meetings with hiring managers to understand job details.
  • Educate, influence, and enable the business to hire the right talent.
  • Identify process issues and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Communicate appropriate expectations to and influence hiring managers regarding TA processes.
  • Provide timely updates to hiring managers with information regarding marketplace, obstacles, and work with manager to identify solutions.
  • Help shape employment offers with hiring managers and Senior Recruiters.
  • Clearly communicate with applicants regarding Staples associate value proposition, benefits, salary, etc.
  • Leverage metrics and data to drive results and achieve company objectives.
  • Use reporting tools (such as Excel and Tableau) to identify obstacles and to provide manager updates.
  • Understand key policies, practice, and guidelines, and their effect on the selection process.
  • Follow legal requirements of talent acquisition, selection & hiring guidelines, and any record keeping and compliance requirements.
  • Make recommendations to improve established processes

What you Bring to the Table:

  • Basic proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and applicant tracking systems
  • Knowledge of Talent Acquisition legal requirements
  • Previous negotiating experience with candidates and hiring managers
  • Experience using talent sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, etc.)
