Job summary

CGL is seeking a Talent Acquisition Advisor to drive full-cycle recruitment for multiple portfolios within a national HR team. You will attract diverse talent, engage with hiring managers, and deliver timely recruitment updates using data analytics to optimize hiring decisions.

The role requires at least five years of experience in talent acquisition, a post-secondary HR-related diploma, and proficiency in English (French an asset).

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of full-cycle talent acquisition experience.
  • Post-secondary diploma in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of provincial employment laws, human rights and privacy legislation, behavioral-based interviewing, and HR best practices.
  • CHRP/ CPR designation would be an asset.
  • Experience sourcing passive candidates on various social media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Drive full-cycle recruitment for portfolio needs and act as a brand ambassador.
  • Source and screen an average portfolio of 20 requisitions using channels like Indeed and LinkedIn.
  • Provide candidate recommendations, interview practices, and diversity-focused assessments.
  • Leverage data analytics to inform hiring plans and updates for the team.
  • Collaborate with HR partners and hiring managers to meet business objectives.
  • Promote employer branding through job fairs and social networks.

As a Talent Acquisition Advisor reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition, you will drive the full-cycle recruitment process. Your focus will be on attracting exceptional, diverse talent through our enterprise cohort and external talent pool in support of centre of excellence (COE) portfolios. As our brand ambassador, you will engage with candidates, aligning their career aspirations with our recruitment needs. Your goal is to deliver an exceptional candidate experience while ensuring we hire top talent to meet our business objectives. As the subject matter expertise for your respective portfolios, you will be collaborating closely with our business and HR partners and provide proactive and timely recruitment updates, leverage data analytics, and support the hiring team on interviews and assessments.

How you will create impact
  • The Trusted TA Partner with the business: Partner with hiring managers to understand the needs of their business and to meet hiring needs through an n recruitment process.
  • Sourcing and Screening: Provide sourcing and screening support for an average portfolio of 20 requisitions. Leverage channels like Indeed and LinkedIn to attract passive talent and proactively build talent pipelines.
  • Interview & Assessment Support: Assist hiring managers by offering candidate recommendations, objective interview best practices, and assessments with a strong focus on diversity.
  • Market Insights: Influence hiring plans by staying informed about market trends and competitors’ recruitment activities through data analytics.
  • Employer Branding: Actively participate in social networking sites, attend job fairs, and promote our employer brand to attract top talent.
To join our team
  • You have a minimum of five years of full cycle talent acquisition experience preferably in a corporate environment.
  • You have experience on leveraging internal and external data to support talent acquisition hiring initiatives.
  • You are passionate on finding the best talent with a proven track record of sourcing passive candidates on various social media platforms.
  • You love to use data to tell your recruitment story and influencing on recruitment approach.
  • You have a post-secondary diploma in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline.
  • You have an in-depth knowledge of provincial employment laws, human rights and privacy legislation, behavioural based interviewing, and human resources best practices.
  • Having the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Professional Recruiter (CPR) designation(s) would be an asset.
  • Having completed the certified internet recruiter designation or LinkedIn certification would be an asset
  • This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

Expected salary range $72,847.00 to $121,411.00

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
