Job summary

Pathlion is seeking a Talend Integration Analyst to design, build, operate, and support data integration solutions on the Government of Alberta's Talend platform, supporting the DRAS program.

You will collaborate with data engineers, platform admins, ministry stakeholders, and vendor partners to move data across on‑prem and cloud systems, implement secure APIs with Azure API Management, and ensure reliable, scalable ETL processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing data integration solutions with Talend (Data Integration / Data Fabric / Talend Studio).
• Strong SQL skills with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
• Proven experience designing ETL/ELT processes, data mappings, and transformation logic for enterprise data.
• Experience operating and supporting integration jobs in a production environment, including scheduling, monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Translate business and data requirements into robust technical designs with data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation logic.
• Build parameterized, reusable, context-aware Talend jobs across development, test, and production environments.
• Implement performance-tuned, scalable integration patterns for batch and near-real-time data movement.
• Design and expose secure data services and APIs using Azure API Management for downstream systems.
• Implement data governance practices, including metadata management, data classification, and lineage tracking.
• Ensure compliance with privacy and regulatory standards (e.g., POPA) through RBAC, encryption, and masking.

• Apply data governance, metadata management, and data lineage practices.
• Ensure privacy and regulatory compliance through access controls and encryption.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data-load failures and incidents.
• Collaborate with data engineers, platform admins, ministry stakeholders, and vendor partners.
