Responsibilities

• Lead QA/testing activities and drive test strategy, plans, cases, scripts, data and reports.
• Plan and coordinate test execution across functional, non-functional, integration and performance tests.
• Ensure security, accessibility and compliance testing are embedded in the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers, product, and operations to resolve defects and improve quality.
• Mentor junior QA staff and advance testing automation adoption.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist with 7+ years of enterprise QA and systems testing experience, including test planning, strategy, execution, automation, and defect management.

• Strong experience with functional, non-functional, system, regression, integration, acceptance, performance, and security testing.
• Proven experience leading QA/testing activities, preparing test strategies, test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, and test result reports.
• Strong experience testing clinical, mission-critical, high-volume transactional, and highly available enterprise systems.
• Hands-on experience with APIs, RESTful web services, JSON/XML, HL7-FHIR, integration components, and messaging-layer testing.
• Strong SQL skills, including data queries, ad-hoc queries, data validation, data integrity, BI/reporting validation, and database testing.
• Experience with test automation using Selenium and automated test scripting, with knowledge of at least one programming language.
• Experience with security testing involving SAML/JWT and accessibility testing using WCAG 2.0/AODA standards.
• Strong defect tracking and reporting experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and TestRail, including defect triage, prioritization, and resolution.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, traditional/hybrid methodologies, DevOps processes, and test integration throughout the development lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, stakeholder-management, and technical leadership skills.
• 5+ years of experience working on federal/provincial/broader public-sector healthcare or large, complex Health IT projects.
