Job summary

The Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist at vTech Solution will lead quality assurance for the Clinical Data Foundation program, focusing on HL7 FHIR resources, automated UI and API testing, functional testing, and defect management in a scalable cloud-native EHR platform.

You will design test strategies, build automation frameworks, validate data mappings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile and DevOps while mentoring junior QA staff.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience testing large-scale enterprise backend apps and distributed systems.
• Advanced UI automation framework design using Selenium or Playwright with Java, Python, JS or TS.
• Strong programming skills in Java and/or modern scripting languages.
• Extensive API and web service testing with RESTful or SOAP tooling (Postman, REST Assured).
• End-to-end integration testing, API contract validation, and DB validation (SQL/Oracle/MySQL).
• Experience with authentication testing (OAuth, JWT, SAML) and Jira defect tracking.
• Hands-on healthcare domain experience, HL7 FHIR and/or HL7 v2/v3 preferences.
• Git source control and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI); HTML/CSS/JS for UI automation.

This role ensures the delivery of a scalable, cloud-native electronic health record platform that supports interoperability and data sharing within healthcare systems.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business and technical requirements to develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, cases, and automation scripts.
• Execute automated testing across multiple non-production environments supporting healthcare data integration systems.
• Validate HL7 FHIR R4 resources and Implementation Guide profiles for conformance, data quality, and interoperability.
• Test HL7 v2 to FHIR R4 mappings, transformations, and end-to-end data flows ensuring data integrity.
• Design, build, implement, and maintain automation testing frameworks and scripts for UI and API validation.
• Generate and manage complex test data using automation toolsets.

• Provide input on test effort estimation, support business acceptance, release readiness, and Go/No-Go decisions.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Minimum 7 years of experience testing large-scale enterprise backend applications and distributed systems.
• Advanced expertise in designing and implementing scalable UI automation frameworks using Selenium or Playwright with Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Strong programming skills in Java and/or modern scripting languages.
• Extensive experience in API and web service testing and automation (RESTful, SOAP) using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, ReadyAPI.
• Proven ability in end-to-end integration testing, API contract validation, database validation (SQL, Oracle, MySQL), and data integrity verification.
• Experience with authentication/authorization testing including OAuth, JWT, SAML, certificates.
• Strong functional testing skills including defect management in Jira and debugging test environments.
• Hands-on healthcare domain experience, preferably with HL7 FHIR and/or HL7 v2/v3 standards.
• Experience with Git source control and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for UI automation purposes.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Healthcare interoperability experience with hands‑on testing of HL7 FHIR messages and data structures.
• Knowledge of Microsoft ecosystems such as Power BI, Dynamics 365, and SharePoint.
• Experience with agile‑scrum project delivery and tools like TestRail for test management.

• Work involves collaboration across multiple programs and teams including project managers, IT leads, and business analysts.
• Must adhere to Agile Scrum methodology and DevOps/CI/CD principles.
