About the Opportunity
The Senior Supply Technician provides all pharmaceutical inventories for NSH & IWK Hospitals and other healthcare agencies across the province. Reporting to the Provincial Drug Distribution Program (PDDP) Assistant Manager, the Senior Supply Technician is responsible for overseeing and ensuring all pharmaceuticals are accurately procured in a timely manner. The Senior Supply Technician works with a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and must extensively use the GPO portal along with information bulletins to ensure our product files are kept current, and pricing is correct.
The Senior Supply Technician will oversee the activities of the Supply Technician and provide training and guidance on the day-to-day operations of all purchasing matters. The Senior Supply Technician will also focus on a product allocation strategy to ensure products with limited stock availability are equally shared among clients of the program. This includes identifying, reviewing, and communicating all allocation items with Management and participating on the various Drug Shortage calls.
The Senior Supply Technician will also be responsible for mitigating and managing drug shortages by proactively creating system files and sourcing alternate products during supply disruptions and verifying all pricing is in alignment with contract and hospital list pricing.
The Senior Supply Technician works with Management and the warehouse Team Lead to ensure adequate stock of products is maintained and the system is up to date. Working with the Team Lead, the Senior Supply Technician also reports and follows to resolution Purchase Order (PO) discrepancies with suppliers, as well as supports finance on price discrepancies and invoicing disputes.

$29.18 - $31.27 Hourly
