Job summary

CapstoneONE Search represents a world-class, multi-billion dollar industrial manufacturing organization seeking a Supply Chain Manager for a large, complex site in West Michigan. The role leads planning, materials, and logistics and supports North America cost centers.

The position is permanent and direct-hire, with responsibilities spanning master scheduling, inventory management, and performance KPIs. Travel within North America is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • 5+ years of supply chain, materials, or planning leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience owning master scheduling and production planning functions.
  • Strong understanding of inventory, demand, and capacity planning principles.
  • Experience leading and developing teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Willingness to travel <20% within North America.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop planning, materials, and logistics teams with accountability for execution and performance.
  • Own the master production scheduling process aligning demand, capacity, and labor constraints.
  • Drive demand and capacity planning balancing long-range forecasts with short-term needs.
  • Partner with Operations to address schedule attainment, throughput, and bottlenecks.
  • Interface between customers, manufacturing, and internal stakeholders on delivery commitments.
  • Oversee inventory management strategies including accuracy, turns, excess, obsolescence reduction.
  • Develop and track KPIs such as OTD, forecast accuracy, and planning efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning discipline and waste reduction.

Job description

We are representing a world class, multi-billion dollar industrial manufacturing organization that, due their continued growth, is seeking to hire a Supply Chain Manager. Reporting to the VP/General Manager, this role will lead planning, materials, and logistics functions for a large, complex manufacturing site in West Michigan in addition to supporting other internal cost centers within North America. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the site’s planning, materials, and logistics teams, with accountability for execution, performance, and talent development
  • Own the master production scheduling process, ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capacity, material availability, and labor constraints
  • Drive demand and capacity planning processes, balancing long-range forecasts with short-term execution needs
  • Partner closely with Operations to address schedule attainment, throughput, bottlenecks, and production constraints
  • Serve as the primary interface between customers, manufacturing, and internal stakeholders on delivery commitments and schedule changes
  • Oversee inventory management strategies, including accuracy, turns, excess, and obsolescence reduction
  • Develop and track key performance indicators including OTD, forecast accuracy, inventory metrics, and planning efficiency
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on planning discipline, process standardization, and waste reduction

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of supply chain, materials, or planning leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience owning or leading master scheduling and production planning functions
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning, and capacity planning principles
  • Experience leading and developing teams in fast-paced, operationally complex environments
  • Comfort working cross-functionally and influencing without direct authority
  • Willingness and ability to travel (<20%) within North America.
