Job summary

AECOM seeks a Senior Structural Engineer - Mining & Industrial to join our Canadian mine infrastructure team in Calgary. The role emphasizes asset management, structural condition assessments, and brownfield remediation to improve reliability, safety, and lifecycle performance of mining-related facilities.

You will lead field inspections at remote and industrial sites, document findings, and develop actionable remediation plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering (or equivalent).
• 6+ years of structural engineering experience, with asset management and brownfield remediation emphasis.
• Willingness to perform hands-on field inspections in challenging environments.
• Expert knowledge of CSA S16 and CSA A23.3 codes.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle access.

Responsibilities

• Lead asset management and field inspections across mining and water infrastructure projects.
• Develop detailed structural remediation plans and construction specifications.
• Lead and manage projects from scoping through commissioning with adherence to budgets and timelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development in mining sector.
