Be the builder of what's next

We're seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to take the lead in shaping and growing our structural engineering design department. This isn't just another engineering role — it's an opportunity to build a department from the ground up, influence company growth, and deliver projects that leave a lasting mark.

You’ll bring your technical expertise, leadership skills, and entrepreneurial mindset to drive success on two fronts: delivering exceptional structural designs and securing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Design and oversee structural systems for buildings, with a strong focus on concrete and steel structures.
  • Apply hands‑on design expertise to complex projects, ensuring technical precision and compliance with client requirements.
  • Leverage experience with modular and wood structures as an added advantage.
Grow the Business
  • Actively build and maintain relationships with government agencies, developers, and commercial clients.
  • Secure new contracts and expand the project pipeline.
  • Serve as the trusted point of contact, delivering tailored solutions that meet client needs.
Drive Projects Forward
  • Manage projects from concept through completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with Florida codes, industry standards, and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely, successful delivery.
Build a department
  • Establish standards, workflows, and best practices for the structural engineering division.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high‑performing team of engineers and technical staff.
  • Set departmental goals and KPIs to ensure quality, client satisfaction, and profitability.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
  • 7+ years of structural engineering experience, with concrete and steel design expertise.
  • Experience with modular and wood structures is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and client acquisition.
  • Hands‑on design experience, not just management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and structural design software.
  • Strong knowledge of Florida building codes and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
Why join us?
  • Competitive salary with a bonus tied to new client acquisition and project success.
  • Full benefits package (health, dental, retirement savings).
  • Career growth opportunities in a leadership‑focused environment.
  • A collaborative culture where your expertise and ideas directly shape the future of the department.

This is more than a job. It's your chance to build, lead, and make a direct impact — both on projects and on the growth of the company.
