Job summary

Job description

• BeyondTrust is seeking a Senior Staff Software Development Engineer to set the technical direction for the NHI Governance domain within our Pathfinder products
• As one of the most senior engineers on the team, you will own architecture across the domain and its integration with our shared platform substrates, drive our hardest technical bets, and establish the standards, interfaces, and patterns that other teams build on
• You will lead the server-side loop — discover, assess, and remediate non-human identities (service accounts, workload identities, secrets and keys, and AI agents) across cloud and on-premise environments — and act as a force multiplier across engineering, solving complex identity and security challenges at
• Set and drive technical direction and architecture across the NHI Governance domain and its integration with shared platform services
• Own the most complex, high-risk, and cross-cutting technical initiatives end to end, from ambiguous problem to delivered system
• Define the standards, interfaces, and contracts that multiple teams and products depend on, and shepherd their adoption
• Partner with product, design, and peer engineering leaders to align technical strategy with business goals across BeyondTrust
• Act as a force multiplier — mentoring staff and senior engineers, raising the technical bar, and improving how the organization builds
• Lead design reviews and make the critical build/buy and architectural trade-off decisions
• Drive quality, security, observability, and performance as first-class concerns across the domain
• Resolve ambiguity at the largest scope, ensuring the right problems are framed, sequenced, and solved
