Job summary

Kaseya is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to shape the architecture and evolution of Java-based SaaS platforms and backend services. This hands-on technical leadership role involves solving complex distributed systems challenges and guiding initiatives across teams.

You will partner with Engineering, Product, Security, and Architecture leaders to influence long-term technical direction while remaining closely involved in design and implementation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with production SaaS or distributed systems.
• 6+ years building production backend services in Java.
• Experience leading architecture and delivery across multiple teams or product areas.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience leading architecture reviews and establishing engineering standards across teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive architecture for Java-based platform services and APIs.
• Lead multi-team technical initiatives spanning services and domains.
• Stay hands-on with prototyping, critical components, code reviews, and production troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, and Architecture to align priorities with scalable solutions.
• Evolve cloud-native architectures, microservices, data flows, and platform capabilities.
• Improve system performance, availability, observability, security, and operational readiness.
• Set engineering standards for Java development, API design, testing, CI/CD, and production ops.
• Mentor Senior and Staff Engineers through architecture reviews and cross-team collaboration.
