Job summary

Benevity is hiring a Senior Staff Developer - AI and Machine Learning to lead GenAI initiatives and shape the architecture of our AI infrastructure. You will bridge research and production, building scalable systems for model training, deployment, and monitoring.

The role demands deep MLOps expertise, cloud fluency, and strong leadership to drive cross-functional impact across data science, product, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with 4+ years deploying ML models in production at scale.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role on scalable platforms and modernization.
• Staff or Senior level with architecture ownership and mentoring experience.
• Deep expertise in MLOps, production ML systems, and lifecycle management.
• Strong cloud experience (AWS or Google Cloud) for scalable AI workloads.
• Proficient in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end ML architecture from data ingestion to serving and monitoring.
• Define long-term roadmap for AI infrastructure and orchestration framework.
• Oversee AI/ML ecosystem design, implementation, and maintenance.
• Architect GenAI apps with RAG pipelines, tool integrations, and multi-step workflows.
• Lead MLOps practices for testable, scalable, and maintainable systems.
• Collaborate with PMs, Data Scientists, and ML Engineers to translate problems into requirements.
• Mentor engineers through high-level design reviews and performance optimization.
