A government contracting agency in Fredericton, NB is looking for a Senior SQL Developer for a temporary full-time position. Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree and extensive experience in SQL and health applications. Only qualified Senior SQL Developer located near the Fredericton, New Brunswick area will be considered due to the role requiring an onsite presence.

Required Education
  • A University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Required Skills
  • A minimum of fifteen (15) years of demonstrated IM/IT experience (15 Years)
  • A minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience supporting and maintaining health applications for the Regional Health Authority and/or Department of Health in a Canadian Provincial jurisdiction (5 Years)
  • A minimum of ten (10) years demonstrated experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) including the creation of SSIS packages (10 Years)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English
Desired Skills
  • Demonstrated experience in the last 5 years, working as a Senior Programmer/SQL Developer on a health analytics or health reporting database system for Regional Health Authorities and/or Department of Health in a Canadian Provincial jurisdiction (5 Years +)
  • Demonstrated experience with relational database systems including SQL Server (version 2012 or later) (10 Years +)
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining and developing SQL Server databases, tables, views, queries, functions, stored procedures, indexes, scheduled jobs, triggers, packages, and performance tuning for SQL Server implementations (8 Years +)
  • Demonstrated experience with Enterprise BI or other analytic/data warehouse technology (preference given to Power BI administration) (10 Years +)
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, and deploying SSRS reports and/or PowerBI dashboards (5 Years +)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing the implementation of technical solutions in an operational environment (8 Years +)
  • Demonstrated experience in architecture where multiple systems and domains need be considered from an enterprise view (8 Years +)
