About This Opportunity

Reporting to the VP, People, the Senior Specialist, Projects & People Programs will appeal to candidates who are highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a passion for contributing to meaningful initiatives and developing their skills along the way. This role is well suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, enjoys coordinating across multiple priorities, and takes pride in delivering polished, professional work. Success in this position will come from balancing strong execution with a collaborative mindset, while supporting the People function and gaining valuable exposure to leadership-level initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Support the planning, tracking, and progress of multiple People & functional initiatives, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Monitor project progress, flag risks, and follow up on action items across multiple workstreams.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and updates for leadership and team meetings.
  • Serve as a liaison with internal and cross-functional teams to gather inputs, follow up on actions, and enable decision-making.
  • Maintain project documentation and provide status updates.
  • Anticipate the needs of the VP, People—proactively preparing materials and information to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate and support the rollout of internal programs and initiatives.
  • Organize logistics for leadership meetings and functional events.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination, PMO, business support, or a related role.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities independently.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A detail-oriented, proactive and responsive approach with a commitment to follow-through.
  • Comfort working with multiple stakeholders and navigating competing priorities.
  • A collaborative, team-focused mindset—someone who thrives in a support role while gaining visibility into leadership-level initiatives.
  • Practiced in handling confidential issues in a discretionary and sensitive manner.
  • Ability to travel to the various plants / locations as required.
